The corset for dancers!

Lissome corsets are a Volancia original. They are constructed just like a normal corset with a busk, steel boning, waist tape and sturdy grommets for lacing, but the fabric used is stretchy bengaline for both the strength and facing layers, with another stretch fabric (bengaline could also be used here) for the fashion layer.

This results in an extremely comfortable corset that can be worn for extended periods of time or when you need the extra movement that a regular corset does not allow. It is also suitable for people with back problems that mean normal corsets don't fit them properly, such as scoliosis. It is not a replacement for a medical corset, but allows the wearer to have a 'normal' corset without the associated discomfort of an off-the-rack model.

Because they are crafted the same as other Volancia underbust corsets, the corsets in the lissome range still give excellent shaping and support to the figure.

Lissome corsets are particularly well suited to dancers who desire an elaborate costume but still want to have full flexibility and range of movement. A Lissome corset allows you to move with ease and still look fabulous.
